Success in life comes with a price so does success in ministry. In this lesson, Dr Nick Ohizu showcases that for Ministry to succeed, the leaders involved must understand the price tag; be willing to move from ordinary leaders to become sacrificial leaders and must go the extra mile to exert the energy required for ministerial success (Philippians 3:14 (NKJV) and 2 Timothy 2:3-6 (NKJV)). Dr Nick explains that the price needed for Ministerial success is remarkably high, and there is a high demand that comes with a price tag. He shares the following as what Ministerial leaders pay price for:

“ I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”Philipans 3v14

“ You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.”2 Thimothy 2v3-6

  • Church Growth by making time for effective evangelism.
  • A Better Facility by sacrificially giving to the building project.
  • The Power of God through prayer and fasting.
  • The Presence of God by living Holy lives.
  • Excellence by consistency to set standard.

Ministerial leaders are considered soldiers therefore required to work harder with the highest level of sacrifice to please our captain-Jesus. Using the example of Jesus Christ, Dr Nick Ohizu explains that paying the price will involve among other things, working harder than everyone else; will require you to please God, your Pastor, and the congregation; being adaptable; bringing business principles into your Ministry, and marketing Jesus – the product to your customers.

As a Ministerial Leader, you must ask yourself; are you the generation that will the price to see your ministry fulfil its potential? If so, this lesson will help you engage the tenacity and willingness to keep paying the price until you win, bearing in mind that, you are not building the Ministry for yourself, but you are building a legacy for the next generation; thus, you should build it so well that nothing about the Ministry will need to be redesigned, taken down or changed because the standard used was so high.
