A Chronicle is a factual written account of important or historical events in the order of their importance and occurrence. We are all called by Christ to bear our cross. Bearing your cross means to identify with Jesus that’s why we’re called Christians. The carrying of the cross had to be depicted by Simon of Cyrene. Jesus had to be in front and Simon behind Him carrying the cross because you cannot carry your cross whilst in front of Jesus, but you carry it behind Jesus so that you look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus told the people and women who were crying not to cry because they also have to carry their own cross after He has carried His. When you say I give my life to Christ, automatically your life is shifted to follow the Chronicles of the Son of God. We are identifying with the cross so that we don’t give up. The following are the processes that the Son of God went through which we will also have to through as followers of Christ:
“And Jesus never responded to him.”Mathew 27v14
Jesus didn’t come as an emperor. He was born in a manger. This means everyone that identifies with Christ must start from a beginning called humble, humble beginnings. In the kingdom of God, it’s allowed not to have a great start. That place of humility is called repentance. A sign of repentance is humility. Anyone that doesn’t repent from sin is proud. The reason why Jesus went to Zacchaeus’ house was his humility. He climbed a tree. Imagine a rich man climbing a tree. Zacchaeus didn’t have to invite Jesus to his house, when Jesus sees humility, He comes to your house. Jesus didn’t come as an emperor. He was born in a manger. Anytime somebody decides to become a child of God, satan tries to terminate their life. You must eliminate your Herod; he must not eliminate you. Jesus came back to Judea after Herod had died. You must conquer and overcome your Herod. You’ll go through your wilderness season. Before Israel became a nation, they had to go through the wilderness. This is where you meet satan face to face, not Herod. This is where you must fight satan himself and make sure you defeat him. The first thing satan attacked was Jesus’ sustenance. You’ll go through hunger, and many people have sold their souls just because of putting food on the table. Satan wants to stop you in the wilderness. Many of us are stuck trying to turn our stone into bread. Jesus told satan, “I have another source of bread.” Go through the process. It’s people that reject the process of God that sell their souls for quick money. You’ll be betrayed and rejected by your own. When satan fails to get you through Herod and the wilderness, he’ll turn members of your household against you. Jesus was rejected in Nazareth, betrayed by Peter and Judas. A man’s worst enemy are members of his household. Peter said to Jesus, “you’re not going to Jerusalem.” Judas said, “it’s the one I kiss.” Nazareth said, “what can you offer us, we know you.” You must go through betrayal and rejection, and you must overcome it. False accusation. When someone begins to say something you didn’t do, you’re neutralized. The bible says, “And Jesus never responded to him.” After failing to find grounds to arrest and kill Jesus, they hired false accusers. As you carry your cross and follow Christ, you will also be falsely accused. You must overcome all accusations because greater is He that is in you that the one who is in the world. They will put you on trial. Trials are there to reveal your motive for believing God. Are you trusting God to deliver you or you’re trusting Him for who He is? Trials will shake you to the core so that we know where your faith is. Whatever trial you are put on, make sure you overcome it just as Christ overcame the world. You must carry your cross. This is the transition point. The same thing that killed Jesus was the victory that God gave the world. It was bittersweet. Carrying your cross means your children must see the scars of you believing that you’re a son of God. If we remove the bible, what testimony are you going to give your children that you believe in God? Abraham, Joseph, Noah and all the faith giants we preach about today didn’t have the bible. Finally, He was crucified. It means the fulfilment of purpose and destiny. His purpose was the redemption of mankind through Christ. It looked like failure yet it was massive success. It looked like the end yet it was the beginning.
